Palletised freight network Palletways has expanded its services in Europe with the unveiling of a new £10m international hub in Knüllwald, central Germany.

Work on the new 24hr HGV refuelling site at the Port of Liverpool is nearing completion. Opening early in 2017, the port-centric location will provide a convenient place for drivers to refuel, offering diesel, gas oil and AdBlue® and allowing up to 8 HGVs to refuel simultaneously. The port says it will eliminate unnecessary journeys with the expectation that it will indirectly reduce road congestion as a result.

Hector Rail and Samskip have agreed to develop their partnership on Sweden and the continent further. From this week, six round trips per week between Helsingborg in Sweden and Duisburg in the Ruhr area in Germany, via Copenhagen in Denmark, will be added to existing operations.
